Faculty of Economics

The Faculty of Economics TUL offers a wide range of study branches in bachelor, master and doctoral degrees. At the same time, students are given the opportunity to choose the orientation of their studies by means of optional subjects, according to their field of interest and their expected career. In addition, Six international languages are taught which is an outstanding teaching programme involving several foreign lecturers.

The Faculty of Economics TUL enables the students to gain a deep theoretical knowledge in the fields of economics, legislation, finance and accounting, management and marketing skills and information technology applications, giving them the ability of mastering the fast changing conditions of the information age and knowledge economics.            
Graduates can exercise a wide range of professions in enterprises as well as non-profit making organizations, especially in the fields of business administration, banking and finance services, public administration, informatics and information management.

The Faculty of Economics TUL is a dynamic school that adapts to real conditions and introduces new subjects following the trends of economic development. The study process accentuates the development of study skills and presentation abilities. Teaching is based on the results of experimental tasks and projects. The students work individually, or in teams, on projects in which they solve and present model situations, or carry out an economical analysis of chosen entrepreneurial entities that often offer graduates interesting employment. Thereby, FH TUL creates preconditions to achieve flexibility and fast professional growth within future employment. This philosophy also led to the expansion of the faculty outside Liberec, it offers a part-time form of study in business administration studies in Jičín and Česká Lípa.

The Faculty of Economics TUL collaborates closely with foreign universities in the fields of science and research and offers a period of one to two semesters of study abroad. Students have, for example, the opportunity to gain a Bachelor degree from Huddersfield University Business School, England, during the third year, and to continue in master programme studies at HF TUL.
