The Academic Coordination Centre in the Euroregion Nisa (ACC)

The Academic Coordination Centre ACC came into existence in 1991 to coordinate the educational, scientific and research activities of pedagogical and specialist staff of the universities working in the territory of the Czech-German-Polish border, at the Euroregion Neisse. The main goal of its activities is to promote cooperation among partner universities.

Activities

ACC focuses primarily on research projects involving partner organisations from multiple countries. Its main purpose is to serve as a platform for establishing and maintaining contacts and for mutual coordination.

The ACC also involves students from its partner universities in research projects and organises international student symposia, specialised seminars, workshops, and competitions for them.

In addition to scientific work, the ACC fosters educational cooperation, supports student and faculty mobility, and strives to facilitate contacts in the higher education sector.

ACC Journal

Since 2009, the ACC has been publishing the international scientific journal ACC JOURNAL, an important platform for the exchange of scientific information and experience within the Nisa Euroregion.

ACC JOURNAL publishes original peer-reviewed scientific papers, scientific studies, conference proceedings, and research project reports. The journal’s topics mainly cover the natural sciences, engineering, economics, and the social sciences. Articles are published in Open Access format.
