From October 6 to 8, the Technical University of Liberec (TUL) hosted an international meeting focused on Service-Learning as part of the RUN-EU Short Advanced Programme (SAP).
This innovative approach bridges higher education with the real-world needs of society by bringing together university lecturers, community representatives, and non-profit organizations. Through interactive workshops, experience-sharing, and collaborative sessions, participants explored European best practices and worked on actionable ideas to link academic teaching directly with local community initiatives.
By fostering collaboration across borders, disciplines, and sectors, the event highlighted the vital role universities play in creating practical solutions for pressing societal challenges. The three-day programme emphasized international cooperation, socially responsible education, and learning that yields a tangible civic impact.
