Academic Senate

The academic senate is an autonomous representative academic body defined by the Act on Higher Education Institutions and specified by the Statutes of the TUL. It consists of the Council of academic staff (14 members) and Council of students (7 members).

Members of the senate are elected by the academia of our university. Faculties are represented equally – 2 staff and 1 student members are elected from each faculty.

The academic senate votes on proposals to nominate or dismiss the rector, approves the budget and monitors the financial management, approves internal regulations and the crucial documents of the university.

Usually, the senate meets every second Tuesday in a month. Planned dates: 13. 4. 2021, 11. 5. 2021, 8. 6. 2021.
