Software for Students

As a student of the Technical University of Liberec, you can use a variety of computer programs to help you, for example, to write seminar and final theses. You can also install other necessary software for free or at lower prices, the complete list can be found on the LIANE website.

A few tips for the most useful software:

GSuite

Google’s handy program for creating notes, spreadsheets, and documents is a great way to access your files from any computer or mobile phone. The finished documents can be then easily downloaded in .docx or .pdf format, which will certainly come in handy.

Take advantage of automatically backed-up cloud storage, where you can store other files and photos from your computer and organize them into folders. GSuite is recommended to be used regularly, for example for lectures and seminars.

How to login to GSuite:

  • go to Google.com and click Sign in at the top right
  • enter your school email (including @tul.cz)
  • after clicking the Next button you will be redirected to our user authentication page (shibbo.tul.cz)
  • enter your central password in the appropriate field and confirm with the Login button

Microsoft Office 365

If you like classics, take advantage of the most popular Microsoft Office 365 suite. You don’t have to download anything to your computer, the service works online. While studying, you will find Word, Excel and PowerPoint very useful. Microsoft Office 365 also offers cloud storage.

By logging in with your school email and password, you can use the office package for free. If you would like to buy it without the university ending @tul.cz, it will cost you about 1900 CZK/year.

How to login to MS Office 365

These tools, along with others, are included in the Total Academic Headcount (TAH) license owned by the Technical University of Liberec.
